Lauderdale-By-The-Sea is a charming seaside village just east of Fort Lauderdale on a barrier island.

Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, Lauderdale-By-The-Sea is home to warm tropical breezes, a beautiful pier, spectacular ocean views and small, quaint motels that attract annual visitors from Europe and around the world.

Lauderdale-by-the-Sea is situated between Fort Lauderdale and Sea Ranch Lakes on the south, while the north half borders Pompano Beach. At the ocean end of Commercial Boulevard is a long wooden fishing pier.




Lauderdale-By-The-Sea is surrounded by major attractions. Within six miles are Downtown Fort Lauderdale, Fort Lauderdale Antique Car Museum, Pompano Beach, Broward County Center for the Performing Arts, Billie Swamp Safari, Buehler Planetarium and Jungle Queen Riverboat.
