FLORIDA PLACES AND DESTINATIONS - LIVE OAK

Live Oak, the county seat of Suwannee County east of Tallahassee, is a small town with a quiet atmosphere but with some interesting places to visit.
Spirit of Suwannee Campground offers many year-round activities. Visitors can rent a canoe from the Outpost and go canoeing down the Suwannee River, or visit the Park's stables and spend the day horseback riding.
Suwannee County Historical Museum is housed in a historic Train Depot. Besides the telephone display, the museum features a 16th century Timucaun Indian Village recreation and artifacts that contributed to the development of this region of North Florida.
Live Oak hosts two music festivals – the Suwannee Springfest (in March) and MagnoliaFest (in October).
