Osceola National Forest provides some of Florida’s best hunting and the many lakes provide great fishing. There is also swimming and water skiing, especially on the 800-acre Ocean Pond in the national forest.
Olustee Battlefield Historic Site is a Florida State Park in the Osceola National Forest – the site of Florida's largest Civil War battle. An excellent public golf course, Pineview Golf and Country Club, is located in Macclenny.
The Okefenokee Swamp is a shallow wetland straddling the Georgia-Florida border. A majority of the swamp is protected by the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge and the Okefenokee Wilderness.
