FLORIDA PLACES AND DESTINATIONS - YULEE

Yulee Florida

Yulee was named for David Levy Yulee, a Florida Senator and the driving force behind The Florida Railroad, the state’s first trans-state line.

It stretched 155 miles from Fernandina on the Atlantic Ocean to Cedar Key on the Gulf of Mexico, opening up the center of the state and planting new towns in the wilderness, including Yulee.

Yulee is home to number of shopping malls and to a world class golf course designed, in part, by Arnold Palmer - North Hampton.

Yulee Railroad Days is celebrated the first weekend in June. The linear festival follows the route of the historic cross-state Florida Railroad, and an array of events showcases the historical, cultural, and natural attractions of the heart of North Florida.

Yulee is close to Fernandina Beach, and Amelia Island.
