Fort Zachary Taylor State Historic SiteRecently rediscovered and unearthed this site is a treasure trove of Civil War weaponry and memorabilia. Beautiful mid-19th-century arched brickwork, parade grounds and the largest collection of Civil War cannons in the US. Beautiful little beach, especially suited for sunset-viewing and boat-watching. Mel Fisher's Maritime Heritage Society MuseumDon't miss this phenomenal exhibition of the treasure from the Nuestra Senora de Atocha and the Santa Maragarita, which sunk in the Atlanta Ocean in 1622 during a hurricane. 550 people and a cargo of gold, silver, emeralds and more were lost to the sea.
