Flagler Beach/Palm Coast Area: One of Florida’s new "hot" destinations, this 20-mile stretch of coastline on the upper east coast is bordered on the east by the Atlantic Ocean and on the west by the Intracoastal Waterway with its marshes and wetlands. Flagler Beach is 68 miles south of Jacksonville, 31 miles south of historic St Augustine, and 20 miles north of Daytona Beach. Flagler Beach Gainesville Area: In Gainesville and surrounding areas, visitors can explore the rivers and lakes, cool natural springs and unspoiled wilderness parks of a sub-tropical region. Easy US Interstate-75 access puts visitors in the middle of a region filled with cycling, canoeing, hiking, golf, camping, bird-watching and fishing opportunities. Jacksonville/Amelia Island Area: The Jacksonville/Amelia Island area in the north-easternmost area of Florida includes the cities of Jacksonville, Fernandina Beach (the only town on Amelia Island) and Orange Park. Jacksonville, Florida's "River City by the Sea", has a riverfront festive marketplace and miles of uncrowded beaches. Amelia Island is a 13-mile long barrier island just north of Jacksonville. Jacksonville St Augustine Area: With its old-world charm, "The Nation's Oldest City", St Augustine, is one of Florida's top vacation destinations. The unique views found only in St Augustine tell the story of nearly 450 years of history. There are also 42 miles of beaches. St Augustine |
